DOTHAN, Alabama, November 15, 2021: Twitchell Technical Products is proud to announce that its 100% recyclable EarthTEX™ is Berry Compliant. The Berry Amendment was initially instituted in 1941 to help preserve the US manufacturing base during the time of war. Through this amendment, the United States Department of Defense is prohibited from using funding to purchase a variety of consumables including yarns, fibers, and textiles if they are not reprocessed or produced in the United States.
Twitchell understands the importance of providing fabrics and products whose components are sourced in the United States. Furthermore, EarthTEX’s components are sourced regionally, not just nationally. By using regional vendors, Twitchell is able to conserve freight costs that is reflected in product pricing . Being Berry Compliant means local jobs and products to strengthen the US economy.
“We are committed to our Made in the USA philosophy and receiving our Berry Compliant certification was a natural next step,” stated Gena Webb, Vice President. The highly functional, yet sustainable woven fabric is strong and easy to clean. It is constructed of extruded yarns that do not snag or pull making EarthTEX extremely durable.
